Yakshagana Kala Prashashti 2015

Yakshagana Kala Prashasti 2015 award function was held at Narayana Guru auditorium of Billawa Bhavan, Santacruz (East) on 12th Sepetember, 2015.

The chief guest, renowned litterateur G L Hegde, conferred Yakshagana Kala Prashasti – 2015 to noted Yakshagana artiste Sitaram Kumar Kateel during the programme.

Award function of the late Acchu C Suvarna Memorial Yakshagana Kala Prashasti Award was instituted by Jaya C Suvarna as memorial for his mother and conferred through Narayana Guru Yakshagana Mandali , promoted by Billawar Association Mumbai.

All India Billawar Federation president Jaya C Suvarna inaugurated the programme. Billawar Association president Nityanand D Kotian presided the programme. The Association vice president Raja V Salian, Bhaskar V Bangera, Dr U Dhananjay Kumar, honorary chief treasurer Mahesh C Karkal, Akshaya – monthly bulletin honorary editor M B Kuckian were present at the dais.

The cultural Committee president Dayanand R Poojary welcomed the gathering. Eshwar Alevoor introduced the guests. The Association honorary general secretary Dharmapal G Anchan delivered the introductory address. Akshaya – monthly bulletin sub editor Harish K Hejmady compered the programme. The cultural Committee honorary secretary Ashok K Kukyan Sasihitlu proposed vote of thanks.

Bheeshma Vijaya, Yakshagana play based on mythological episode was presented by the artistes of Narayana Guru Yakshagnaa Mandali on the occasion.
